It was with a feeling of disappointment and betrayal yet a profound instinct to say “NO YOUR WRONG” on how the North Winnipeg Nomads feel about an article in a magazine written about how Racist Winnipeg is.

We can’t comprehend that article or the fact an ex-Winnipegger who doesn’t live here yet “visits” once in a while has the audacity to write this about our City, the City we love, we adore and whom most of work every day to be better.

A lot of us work tirelessly from volunteerism, political activism, to working with our children – we continue to make strides daily, we don’t’ see colour, race, skin or creed – we see Winnipeggers working together to better our City, our Communities  - we are all in this together and nothing is more evident than this that the North Winnipeg Nomads Football Club. We are located proudly in the North End of Winnipeg – our membership is diverse as they come, yet the only thing we judge you on is your effort – (and whose kidding who if you’re a Rider Fan!) but after that we are all athletes, Coaches, Volunteers or Family Members of one – we don’t have time for racism, we don’t have time for those that try and pull us down, were too busy creating a community built upon teamwork, community and leadership –

We thought about coming out and challenging the reporter, yet like a undisguised blitz – were going to call and audible and show our pride, professionalism and togetherness by wearing these hoodies and tshirts inspired by the Nomads and rise above this.

We will let our pride show through these, let the community know who we are and what we stand and believe in – we ask that you join us, as we are extremely proud to be part of the fabric of Winnipeg – and wouldn’t want to change anything – we’ll use this to educate and arm our athletes with knowledge – yet we can assure you they don’t care who or where you came from – they care about the next block, tackle or catch – as after all were all the same where it matters and that’s that we are all Winnipeggers!

North Winnipeg Nomads Football Club

Proudly part of Winnipeg since 1969

The retail side of things – hoodies sell for $65 and T-Shirts $22 – plus tax with local pick up or delivery – for out of town orders – shipping will be a flat $10 in Manitoba and $15 across Canada  - USA interested we’ll let the internet figure out how much shipping is.

Were a small operation, and such we don’t like to keep credit card information on file or lying around – we’ll ask that you email your intent and we’ll call you back with the information we need an process your payment on the spot – for debit/cash orders we can meet at our Clubhouse to process those orders.

We’re about community and believe in seeing and talking to you  - not over the world wide web – with this initiative – were going to say 4 weeks for each order as we have to wait for a few orders to group them  - make a run then have at it – if we ship your order – give us a week post that – local delivery orders we’ll stay in touch and arrange a time to meet, maybe even grab a coffee and talk about Winnipeg and our passion for it that unites us all.

If you’re interested in having your logo on these items vs. the Nomads – we can do that as well too – would need a minimum of 12 pieces per style  - logo in the right files  - even change up the colour scheme if you’d like  - as we are all in this together.

We’re making a small profit off each item, no doubt – these funds will be used to help those in need to supplement their registration funds to play football for the Nomads – as we a in strong conviction that any child that wants to play can play regardless of life’s circumstances or situations, simply Football Family Community.

So how many do you want? Email orders and information can be sent to  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.   please indicate style(s) and size(s) and we’ll contact you with the rest of the information we need.

Thank you for your support, thank you for caring.
